What to know about SU volleyball ahead of 2026 campaign

Syracuse volleyball’s 2025 season started with promise. The Orange were 9-2 after opening Atlantic Coast Conference play with a win over Notre Dame. It seemed it could be SU’s first winning season since 2021 and first winning ACC season since 2018. But the Orange stumbled in October, going just 4-4 in their next eight conference games. The final game of that stretch, a nail-biting 3-2 win over Boston College on Oct. 22, showed flashes of SU’s potential to compete in the ACC.

Mount Pleasant’s Anna Smith Set to Become First Oceanside Collegiate Academy Volleyball Player to Compete in the ACC

Anna Smith, a 2023 graduate of Oceanside Collegiate Academy, is preparing for a season that will once again put her name in the school's record book. Smith has joined the Syracuse University volleyball program as a graduate student, becoming the first volleyball player in Oceanside Collegiate Academy history to compete at a Power Four institution and in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Former Oceanside Collegiate Academy Volleyball Player First in Program History to Win NCAA Conference Titles

Former Oceanside Collegiate Academy’s Anna Smith is the first player in the program’s history to win NCAA Division I Conference titles with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.  The Chants completed the treble winning the Sun Belt Conference’s East Division, Conference and Tournament Championships this season.  They have now qualified for the NCAA Division I tournament and will find out their opponent next Monday during the NCAA Selection Show.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy Volleyball Player First in Program History to Sign National Letter of Intent with a NCAA DI Program

Oceanside Collegiate Academy’s Anna Smith signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) Wednesday May 3 with the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers, one of the top NCAA Division I volleyball recruiting classes of 2023 according to Prepvolleyball.com.  She is the first player in the program’s history to sign with an NCAA Division I school.

Oceanside Collegiate claims state titles in girls’ tennis, volleyball

Oceanside Collegiate continues to establish itself as an athletic powerhouse in the Lowcountry as both the girls tennis and volleyball teams captured their second straight state championships on Saturday. The volleyball team defeated Liberty, 3-0, to claim the Class AA trophy at Dreher High School in Columbia. The Landsharks won the Class AAA state championship last fall, and Saturday was their fourth straight appearance in the finals.

Oceanside edges Bishop England for Lower State volleyball title

The Class AAA Lower State volleyball championship between Oceanside Collegiate and Bishop England was a classic five-set battle between Lowcountry heavyweight programs. A matchup that had tons of drama from start to finish was claimed in the fifth and final set by Oceanside Collegiate, taking a 16-14 win to claim the title with a 3-2 victory on Nov. 2.
